We provide children with fun therapy to help them communicate and teach parents strategies to support learning and maximize progress!

Hi! My name is Kelly Dwyer, and I’m the owner of K.D. Speech Pathology in Westchester County, New York. If your toddler or young child is having a hard time communicating with you, I can help!  As a mother of 3, I know parenting is a joy, but also hard work.  And when your child is having difficulty communicating it can be frustrating – for everyone – but especially your little one! This is why I partner with parents, caregivers, and teachers during therapy to teach strategies that will help your child communicate more effectively in all environments. We can make positive changes at home when you know the techniques I’m using in therapy.  Research has shown that when parents and caregivers are actively involved in therapy, children make more progress.  It just makes sense to use a team approach – you know your child best!

I offer free phone consultations that will help you decide if your child would benefit from an evaluation. Call (914) 393-7939 or email me using the Contact Form and tell me about your concerns, I’d love to help! I’ll reply within 24 hours.  Evaluations assess your child’s speech skills, oral motor and motor speech skills,  receptive and expressive language, play, and social skills.  Therapeutic goals are then tailored to their individual needs.  I use evidenced based assessment and therapeutic techniques taken directly from the research in the field of speech-language pathology.  After the evaluation, we can start therapy!  Therapy sessions vary in time (30, 45, or 60 minutes) and are conveniently scheduled at your  child’s home, school, or day care.  Teletherapy (‘online’ speech therapy) is also available!
